Mignet&#8217;s Flying Flea<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Besides providing medium-range regional transportation, Atea will be available for missions such as sightseeing or surveillance and patrol, according to Ascendance.\u00a0 Designed \u201cin compliance with the requirements of EASA (European Aviation Safety Administration) SC-VTOL regulations\u2026 the aircraft also meets current operational requirements under Air Ops Regulation on flight routes and flight reserves.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"ATEA, hybrid electric VTOL - Ascendance Flight Technologies\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7TR-O6VAD3g?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>If all goes well on a doubtless accelerated schedule, Atea will be ready for display at the Paris Olympics in 2024, although it\u2019s not clear whether it will fly during the event.\u00a0 Ascendance has been named as one of the airframe developers for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chooseparisregion.org\/news\/meet-winners-who-will-be-leading-future-urban-air-mobility-paris-region\">Urban Air Mobility in the Paris Region<\/a>.\u00a0 They join an international assemblage:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Airbus (France): aircraft manufacturer<\/li>\n<li>Ehang (China): passenger electric VTOL manufacturer<\/li>\n<li>H3 Dynamics (Singapore): manufacturer and ultralight hydrogen electric systems developer<\/li>\n<li>Pipistrel (Slovenia): electric aircraft and logistics VTOL manufacturer<\/li>\n<li>Safran Electronics &amp; Defense (France): manufacturer of the Patroller VTOL and optronics, avionics, electronics systems and critical software provider for civil and military applications<\/li>\n<li>Volocopter (Germany): manufacturer of the VoloCity electric VTOL<\/li>\n<li>Vertical Aerospace (United Kingdom): manufacturer of the VA-1X eVTOL<\/li>\n<li>Zipline (USA): logistics drone operator and manufacturer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Related groups will work on operations, infrastructure, airspace integration, and public acceptance.\u00a0 Some have plans for transporting Olympics attendees to the events in sky taxis, although one can only speculate on total numbers.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Interview with Jean-Christophe Lambert, CEO of VTOL developer Ascendance Technologies\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/tFnGXXsKwFY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
