The Mind-Bending MOTOCZYSZ E1PC,\u201d the cover blares, \u201c165-MPH TOP SPEED, 135 HORSEPOWER, 250 LB.-FT. OF TORQUE, AND IT\u2019S ELECTRIC!\u201d\u00a0 If this isn\u2019t enough to make you part with $4.99 US\/$5.99 Canada, the promise, \u201cNever Buy Gas Again!\u201d featuring smaller images of the Brammo Enertia and Zero S commuter bikes, and \u201cElectric Superbikes,\u201d listing Brammo, Roehr, Mavizen, and Mission cycles should lure you into submission.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"2011 Brammo Empulse Electric Motorcycle Promo\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/iS77-wIv8AQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Inside, the promises are fulfilled with no less than 29-1\/2 of the magazine\u2019s 98 pages filled with electric bike news, and an enthusiasm normally missing from such reports.\u00a0 \u201cE-Parity,\u201d for instance, highlights a photo of Brammo founder Craig Bramscher with his new Empulse RR and the latest in sports bra technology, fluff normally associated with big iron.\u00a0 The article keynotes several points in the overall coverage \u2013 electric bikes are catching up quickly on their fossil-fueled brethren\u2019s performance and prices are becoming competitive.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Five pages on the Mission One superbike include the pull quote, \u201cIn the real world, there is literally nothing with sparkplugs and a license plate that will out-accelerate the Mission One off the mark,\u201d red meat to enthusiasts and an indication of how much performance waits to be unlocked in green cycling.<\/p>\n<p>An article on Walter Roehr\u2019s electrified superbike, originally built around a Harley-Davidson V-Rod\u00a0 engine, notes that sales of the original $39,995, 1,250SC plummeted, with \u201c11 of 12 deposits cancelled in just two weeks\u201d because of the \u201cU.
