All three records are being scrutinized by the Federation Aeronautique Internationale.<\/p>\n<p>Soullier attained an altitude of 2,401 meters (7,877 feet), covered 50.27 kilometers (31.17 miles) over a closed circuit course without landing, and averaged 136.36 kilometers per hour (84.54 mph) for that distance. All records are claimed in Soullier\u2019s Colomban MC-30 Luciole, powered by a Lynch-type <a href=\"http:\/\/www.electravia.fr\/mc30eEng.ph\">motor and controller supplied by Electravia<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_5337\" style=\"width: 538px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cafe.foundation\/blog\/?attachment_id=5337\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5337\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5337\" class=\"size-large wp-image-5337\" title=\"mc30 landing\" src=\"http:\/\/cafe.foundation\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/mc30-landing1-528x351.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"528\" height=\"351\" srcset=\"http:\/\/cafe.foundation\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/mc30-landing1-528x351.jpg 528w, http:\/\/cafe.foundation\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/mc30-landing1-300x199.jpg 300w, http:\/\/cafe.foundation\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/mc30-landing1.jpg 2000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 528px) 100vw, 528px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-5337\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Electric MC-30 landing after initial test flights in Sisteron, France. He set a <a href=\"http:\/\/cafe.foundation\/blog\/?p=3077\">speed record on a 15 kilometer course <\/a>with the airplane\u2019s previous power system, and a few months later in 2011, set a speed record before the airplane\u2019s sponsor, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco while <a href=\"http:\/\/cafe.foundation\/blog\/?p=3282\">at the Aero Expo at Friedrichshafen<\/a>. The official record was cancelled, however, because of an error by the observer on the coordinates of the record.<\/p>\n<p>All three February record attempts were observed by Mr Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Vanaerssen, Commissioner for the FAI, and all await validation.
