The airplane is fresh out of the paint shop, and since it is too large to fully assemble in the Slovenian workshop, it is also the first time that we got to see the airplane in its full glory!&#8221;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_7899\" style=\"width: 538px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cafe.foundation\/blog\/?attachment_id=7899\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-7899\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7899\" class=\"size-large wp-image-7899\" title=\"duoirenaanderic\" src=\"http:\/\/cafe.foundation\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/duoirenaanderic-528x351.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"528\" height=\"351\" srcset=\"http:\/\/cafe.foundation\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/duoirenaanderic-528x351.jpg 528w, http:\/\/cafe.foundation\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/duoirenaanderic-300x199.jpg 300w, http:\/\/cafe.foundation\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/duoirenaanderic.jpg 1642w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 528px) 100vw, 528px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-7899\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Eric and Irena Raymond obviously happy with their first look at their fully-completed creation<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Sunseeker Duo is a 22-meter (72 feet) solar-powered aircraft that weighs a mere 280 kilograms (616 pounds) empty, no more than a typical light sport aircraft. \u00a0This is a major accomplishment in itself, and the Duo seems to be very stable on tow, even in a light crosswind. \u00a0We can hardly wait to see more videos as the couple approach the first powered flights with Duo&#8217;s 20 kilowatt (26.8 horsepower) motor taking the craft aloft on sunshine.<\/p>\n<div id=\"facebook_like\"><iframe src=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/like.php?href=http%3A%2F%2Fcafe.foundation%2Fblog%2Fsunseeker-duo-makes-maiden-test-glide%2F&amp;layout=standard&amp;show_faces=true&amp;width=500&amp;action=like&amp;font=segoe+ui&amp;colorscheme=light&amp;height=80\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"border:none; overflow:hidden; width:500px; height:80px;\" allowTransparency=\"true\"><\/iframe><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Seeley shared this video a few hours ago.
