  PAV News from AirVenture 2006

The CAFE Foundation team of Mike Fenn, Meg Hurt, Steve Williams, Brien and Anne Seeley, Larry Ford and Gerry Reilly Ford, and Jo Dempsey worked like a commando team to set up the PAV pavilion.  The Race to the Future movie debuted on the big screen in the pavilion to the delight of all.

 

GSE Engineering's beautiful 12 cylinder 400 horsepower heavy fuel (diesel / biodiesel) engine was a people magnet.  Designed Greg Stevenson (brown hat on left) was mobbed with interested vsitors.

 

Miniature 6 cylinder diesel, 100 horsepower engine from GSE promises breathtaking performance in this single seat Quickie.

 

NASA's Centennial Challenge Forum at AirVenture 2006 featured, from left, CAFE Foundation President Brien Seeley, NASA Headquarters' Ken Davidian, NASA Langley's Mark Moore and Andy Hahn.

 

The beautiful perpetual PADA Trophy was awarded to Alan Klapmeier, left, of Cirrus Design.  Presenting the trophy is PADA founder Todd Hodges.
