The GFC Will Converge Key Technologies
To achieve widespread use in our transportation system, PAVs must provide several advanced capabilities that are not all available in any of today's general aviation aircraft. In a comprehensive study, NASA has identified the key technologies necessary to accomplish this. CAFE and NASA together have included incentive rewards for the most important of these technologies by formulating Outstanding Achievement Prizes in the PAV Challenge competition, and continue to reward these advances in the Green Flight Challenge.
An excellent outline of the several technologies necessary is given by NASA in its Revolutionary Aerospace Systems Concepts paper [Here].
